Job Context

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) is inviting applications for appointment on contract basis for the position of Research Associate for its project titled “Strengthening Integrity and Accountability in Sexual and Reproductive Health Systems in Bangladesh”.

The programme aims to strengthen the quality, integrity, transparency, and accountability of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services through evidence-based community monitoring at Union Health & Family Welfare Centres (UH&FWC) and engagement with community and relevant stakeholder. By conducting regular facility monitoring, data-driven advocacy, and stakeholder dialogue, the initiative seeks to improve quality of service delivery and there by protect the rights of women and girls.


Responsibilities

 Support design and implementation of community monitoring tools, including observation checklists and client exit interview (CEI) questionnaires.
 Design, configure, and manage digital data collection forms using Kobo Toolbox
 Oversee routine data cleaning, validation, and management to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
 Assist in quantitative data analysis and preparation of tables, charts, and summaries for reporting and advocacy use.
 Coordinate with Assistant Community Facilitators to support smooth implementation of facility monitoring and client exit interviews.
 Track data submission timelines and follow up on missing, inconsistent, or incomplete data.
 Support organisation and documentation of community group meetings, facility-level advocacy meetings, and district-level advocacy forums.
 Assist in preparing meeting materials, data presentations, and evidence summaries for stakeholder discussions/advocacy engagements.
 Support dissemination of project findings to community people and relevant stakeholders in an accessible format.
 Maintain proper records of datasets, meeting minutes, transcripts of discussion/workshop, attendance sheets, and supporting documents.
 Any other tasks assigned by the management.

Special Instruction


Academic Qualification

 Applicants must have a Master’s degree with Honours in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Health Economics, Development Studies, Sociology, Anthropology or any other relevant field.
 Candidate with a third division or a GPA below 2 in SSC/HSC or a CGPA below 2.5 as applicable are not considered to meet the necessary requirement.

Other Qualification

 Two years’ experience in research especially on SRH related fields is preferable.
 Familiar with SRHR, health systems, or governance-related projects.
 Strong organizational skills and ability to work closely with field teams.

Additional Requirement

 Strong orientation toward quantitative research, data collection, analysis, and management.
 Practical experience in Kobo Toolbox platforms.
 Basic to intermediate skills in statistical analysis software (e.g., Excel, Stata, SPSS, R).
 Proficiency in MS Office applications and Bangla typing is desired; and
 Ability to work independently and under pressure.
